For families seeking fun and adventure, the Central Florida region attractions offer a variety of interesting venues. Orlando, Winter Park, Kissimmee, St. Cloud and the surrounding areas offer many entertainment options for guests to the Sunshine State.
Orlando Theme Parks
Disney World has 4 parks to choose from – Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Don’t forget the two water parks – Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach.
Sea World Orlando offers its world-famous park as well as its water park, Aquatica. Visitors can also interact with dolphins and other marine animals at Discovery Cove.
Universal Studios Florida offers up movie themed fun. Their Islands of Adventure transports visitors to seven current themed islands such as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Nature and Science
The Orlando Science Center has been rated as one of the “must sees” of Central Florida. This unique museum offers hours of entertainment with movies, live presentations, and interactive exhibits. Visitors to the center may also want to visit the John Young Planetarium, which is a part of the science center.
Harry P. Leu Gardens is a fifty-acre exploration of the differing types of plants grown in and around Central Florida. The Leu House Museum offers guests a glance back in history to a turn-of-the century Central Florida lifestyle.
History
Orlando is home to the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida, one of the oldest Holocaust Centers in our nation. Free of the gruesome pictures, this museum focuses on local survivors and education of the community. Admission to the center is free.
An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, the Orange County Regional Center houses four floors of permanent exhibits preserved by the Historical Society of Central Florida. Discover Florida’s history from the earliest known Native Americans through the modernization of the once small town of Orlando.
Take a ride back in time where the longest held weekly classic car cruise in America is held at Old Town in Kissimmee, Florida. This special type of attraction boasts over seventy unique shops and entertainment centers.

Orlando is a city of culture. The Dr. Phillips Center Fairwinds in Orlando offers the best of Broadway entertainment and the Orlando Museum of Art presents ten to twelve yearly exhibits from local, regional, national and international artists..
Unique to Central Florida:
A short drive from Orlando to Lake Wales leads visitors to Bok Tower Gardens and the Bok Singing Tower. Located 298 feet above sea level, the gardens and the inspirational Singing Tower are Florida’s highest points. Concerts from the world’s finest 60-bell carillon occur daily at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. And for a fun adventure, a visit to one of the best known “gravity hills,” Spook Hill will have visitors wondering how a car in neutral seems to move up the hill.
What is a visit to Florida without experiencing one of our most treasured reptiles? Gatorland is a family-owned attraction with rides, zip line experiences, a free-flight aviary, a petting zoo, and even the chance for amateurs to learn the art of gator wrestling.
A ride on an airboat can take visitors into places they cannot see otherwise. Orlando Airboat Tours located in Kissimmee, Florida is the closest airboat adventure to the attractions. The private airboats are operated by U.S. Coast Guard approved airboat captains. Rides are anywhere from one hour to two hours and take visitors on an ECO adventure to discover flora and fauna and—of course—alligators.
