Let the good times roll! Start the party as you walk through the transformed Universal Studios Florida park. The theme park’s makeover to the New Orleans street party brings a festive atmosphere with vibrantly-dressed street dancers, stilt walkers, and other street performers. The friendly performers will interact with guests throughout the park, posing for pictures and handing out beads! Don’t forget to check out the Beads & Brass Band play during the festival. They are sure to put you in a jazzy mood!
Explore Food & Drinks from Around the World
Also at this year’s Mardi Gras celebration are over 50 delicious food, drinks, and sweet treats inspired by Carnaval celebrations from around the world. The Mardi Gras food will feature booths from New Orleans to International countries, including Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, Mexico, and more. Each food booth includes a variety of food, drinks, and desserts. The popular French Quarter food booth brings traditional Cajun dishes like Jambalaya and Shrimp Gumbo. In addition, the New Orleans Dessert menu features the fan-favorite beignets. If you want to save money while exploring these booths, we recommend getting the Food & Beverage Card and lanyard. The Food & Beverage Card is available at the park for $65 and includes $75 for menu items.
Visit the Mardi Gras Tribute Store
The Tribute Store returns for the Universal Orlando Mardi Gras event, but this time it will be located in the Hollywood section of Universal Studios. Step into a 1930s jazz ballroom, go through the back alleys of New Orleans and make your way to the forgotten speakeasy. The Mardi Gras Tribute Store is the perfect place to find your festival merchandise and special Mardi Gras treats. Here you will find festival-themed t-shirts, skirts, hats, flower crowns, masks, beads, and everything to enhance your time at the festival. Purchase a new outfit or get souvenirs to take back home for your memories.
Watch the Mardi Gras Parade
This alone will have you wanting to book a trip to Universal Studios Orlando! Join the celebration at the Universal Mardi Gras Parade! The exciting nightly parade is available on most nights, only excluding the night of March 31. This year’s parade theme is Mythical Realms of Marid Gras which features traditional Mardi Gras Parade floats and 6 brand-new floats straight from New Orleans. Enjoy festive music, street dancers and entertainers in themed outfits, and of course, beads. The float riders will throw beads in the air for spectators to catch. So, make sure to raise your hand and grab the beads thrown from the parade floats. Just make sure to leave some for the kids! Note: Parade times are subject to change.

It’s a Mardi Gras party! On select nights at 8:30PM, you can catch exciting live concerts at the Music Plaza Stage near Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. These concerts are included in your park ticket and are the perfect opportunity to see your favorite music artists live on stage. The concert lineup for this year’s Mardi Gras Universal Orlando includes popular bands and artists. They include: 3 Doors Down, Sean Paul, and Lauren Daigle. We recommend getting to the stage area early as it can get crowded. If you show up early enough, you might get a front-row view!
Visit Universal CityWalk to Continue the Party
After Universal Studios Florida closes for the day, you can continue the celebration at CityWalk. The shopping, entertainment, and dining at CityWalk is the perfect way to end your day at the park. Likewise, if you still want to keep the party going, CityWalk also offers nightlife for those aged 21 and older. Select from Pat O’Brien’s, a replica of the famous New Orleans bar, Cursed Coconut, the Mardi Gras transformed Red Coconut club, Bob Markey – A Tribute to Freedom, and CityWalk’s Rising Star.
